Raport despre starea naţiunii, este un film a cărui acţiune este determinată de ceea ce poate dezvălui o anchetă TV, cu o temă sensibilă, incomodă şi stranie, care conectează trecutul şi prezentul prin neaşteptate legături. Pasiunea cu care doi tineri reporteri - Horaţiu si Cerasela - vor să afle adevărul provoacă decopertarea unor vechi drame umane, a complicităţilor şi a tăcerilor condamnabile ale multor persoane si structuri provenite dintr-o perioadă ce aparent s-a dizolvat, dar care este încă prezentă şi, într-un mod ocult, afectează şi malformează realitatea imediată.

The action of the film Report on the Nation’s Status is determined by what a TV investigation can reveal. The topic is sensitive, inconvenient and strange and connects the past and present through unexpected links. The passion of two young reporters – Horatiu and Cerasela, who want to find the truth - brings about the discovery of some old human dramas. They also uncover the complicity and blamable silence of some persons and structures that come from a period apparently dissolved but still present, affecting and distorting the immediate reality in an occult way.
